Carolina Curado is a 24 year old Portuguese woman.
She graduated in Biology in FCUP (Porto Science College) in 2008 and, in 2009 she started attending Engenho & Arte Contemporary Jewellery School, in Porto. She’s also attending drawing lessons with António Carlos Soares (Porto Fine Arts College), since 2006.
Carolina is a former Biologist who decided to pursue an old passion for jewelry.
She is inspired by Nature and by the organic forms, which became a big influence in her creations.
Along with pearls, corals and zircons, there are a lot of natural elements in her pieces, such as flowers and Ginkgo Biloba leaves, shells and animals, and so on.
By making this kind of work, Carolina Curado expects to create beautiful and original pieces, rich in details and with a unique story behind them.
She wants people who use it feel that they have something carefully made, to experience the fascination that jewellery can bring.
